Christian apologetics is the rational defense of the Christian Faith. It is that branch of theology which seeks to establish, on rational grounds, the truth of the Christian religion. This should be distinguished from emotional pleas, and the uncritical relating of personal experience to others for the sake of converting the unbeliever.
